How do I change the front turn signal bulb in my 2001 WS6 Trans am? How do I get to it?
Remove two bolts that secure the plastic panel on the underside of the front end of the car, directly below the turn signal housing. The panel will then hinge down allowing you to reach up and access the bulb socket, which has a lock ring that must be compressed while you turn the socket to remove it from the housing. If yours is like mine, the wires are too short to drop below the access panel, so you'll have to reach up with both hands to change the bulb. Also, if yours is like mine, you may see evidence that the bulb gets so hot that the socket shows evidence of burning and/or heat degradation. I'm actually on this site looking for information on a possible recall by Pontiac for this, or at least maybe an upgrade socket.
