1998 dodge neon turns over but wont start

I have a 1998 Dodge Neon.When I parked it 30 days ago it was running good.It has been sitting untouched, in cold weather for 30 days.I checked the antifreeze,oil,and gas and their all good, but now when I try to start it, it turns over and tries to start but wont start.What can I do to start my car and get get it running again?

    the car has gas at carb but wont start. it has plenty of gas and turns over good with plenty of compression but will not fire

Your crank sensor it is located on the back of your engine block behind the alternator check it see if it is bad

Cars need three things to start. Fuel, Air, and Spark. Chances are it's either missing fuel or spark. If you smell fuel when you turn the engine over the that means you dont have any spark. If this is the case check the distributor to see if it is functioning. If you don't smeel gas then it's probably not getting fuel. In this case, start of By checking all of your fuses to see if any are blown. Mainly the fuel pump fuse and relay. These are the cheapest to start with. If your fuses are good and relay is funtioning then check the fuel pump itself. Hope this helps you and good luck.

Why wont my car accelerate?


If you have an overdrive transmission the direct drive clutch may not be releasing. Have the trouble codes read to see if the computer or a sensor is starting to fail.

You say the relays are good - - are you getting power out of the ASD and fuel pump relays ?

Pull ur plug wires and check if there is any oil in there if there is clean with carb cleaner and replace also check crank sensor and plug

recharge battery and try priming it make sure none of the wires are corroded...check fuses

I am having trouble with my speedometer not working occasionally and now my seat belt light is coming on sometimes too. Is this the instrument panel cluster? Or something else? 1998 Dodge Neon. Backstory is as follows: -We take very good care of it and have one dedicated mechanic. -It has only had two owners; my parents and I. -We replaced the battery 2 months ago. -Mechanic checked to make sure the speedometer sensor was working. -We have had issues with the radio for years where it will randomly turn on and off, typically brought on by a stuffed trunk OR wet weather. -The speedometer works until we hit a bump and then the needle flies up and down or sometimes just stops working all together. -Mechanic has made mention of there being some Chrysler specific battery cable that is a smaller side cable and it is not in good condition. -Currently, my problem is that I can't find an old 1998 Dodge Neon in the salvage yard because yards are doing a lot of 2002 and newer vehicles and automatically crushing the others. The meat and potatoes of my question is what direction do I go in? And what of these symptoms ties to each other? And will adding new solder to the points on the panel fix it or is it something else? I'm trying to find least expensive to most expensive options and I'm rather handy but can't drop an engine or transmission or anything so keep this in mind. My handiness ends at resoldering the pins BUT I do have a mechanic I trust, but I fear that maybe I'm not combining symptoms properly. I have the money to repair an item I KNOW is wrong but not to chicken hunt around for problems.
