Change Cabin Filter -- Location & how do I get to it?

I have a 2006 V 70 Volvo. I want to change the cabin filer, but I do not know where it is located, or how to get to it.

For post-2001 Volvos, Google for the online instructions for Bosch's P3857 filter. The filter is probably located under a trip piece beneath the glove box. Torx T-25 bits are required if I recall correctly.

Owners manual should show location,if not its usually beside your blower motor,either behind your glove box,or under dash by pasangers feet area.

The air filter may be a slide in type just above the fan motor and it may have 2 screws to gold it in place . Check with a workshop manual

I cant locate the cabin air filter on my 2008 VW Beetle. I went to the location and its not there. There is a musty smell coming from the vents.

Cabin filter location on my 54 reg uk spec v50?

2008 Volvo V50 - Cabin Air Filter Location?


It's under the dashboard. First you must dismount the accelerator pedal (!), remove some dashboard plastic on driver side. The filter is somewhere behind the central console.
I think it should be changed every two years. Look into the manual.
The company where you take the car for oil & filter change every year must change also this filter with no additional charges. Of course they charge you for the filter, which is not very exponsive.
