For the first probleme you wil needed a test ligth 12 volts you buy at the auto part store for less than $15 . now look at your fuse and relay box under hood first look for low or hi beam hl on the cover of the fuse box .if there is noting on it, lok for open circuit at evry fuses fisrt and those that have moore than 15 amperes. if you find nothing on the fuse box (blow fuse) go in car under the dash board and find the second fuse box and do the same test if nothing find chek the bulbs itself or the head light suitches at the colum steering

My 2002 intrepid head lights are not working high beams do work tho and all other lights what could be wrong?

You may need a shop manual to fix this.
The headlight switch circuit involves high beam and low beam relays, and a fuse for each circuit, and the body computer controls it all.
You would need to know if the low beam fuses have power and the low beam relay is working.

I have high beams but no low beams. could it be a fuse or the head light switch?

Some vehicles have a separate relay for low beam, and high beam headlights. It could also be a fuse, the switch, maybe both bulbs are burnt out, or a number of other things.
If you want to further diagnose the issue, I will be happy to assist you but I would need to know what your vehicle is. Good luck

I have a problem with the high beams only working and the low beams not working is there a fuse that i can replace to make the low beams work

You didn't mention the year and model but if you have the owner's manual it will have a fuse box diagram and tell you if a separate fuse is used for the low beams. Normally though one fuse takes care of all head lights. You may have a bad dimmer switch that will need to be replaced. Please rate this answer, thanks.

first thing i would check is the wiring were the plow wiring is spliced in at this is most likly the culprate. or you may have a bad multi function switch in the steering column

My full beams not working all other lights ok

well theres a Couple thing I would try that are relatively inexpensive.
using the process of elimination:

First check in your fuse box to see if there is a fuse blown, sometimes there is a separate fuse for hi beams and lows.
Second, if there's no blown fuse, i would go to an auto parts store and buy one new hi beam (they will be able to look up which bulb you need, if you don't know) and try replacing it to see if by the rare chance both bulbs burned out (not likely).
This eliminates the bulb and the fuse, however VW is known for having little electrical problems that only a specifically trained tech would know what to do with. Here is a link to a Passat specialized Owners forum. they might know more:
Hope that helps : )

F 150 Head light issue

You know the fuse for the high beams is good ( Cab fuse panel fuse # 16 ) and the pass low beam fuse ( cab fuse panel # 26 ).
Might want to check cab fuse panel fuse #28 ( this is the driver's side low beam ).

If this fuse has power on both sides ( with the low beams on ) next you can pull the headlamps, and check for power at the connectors, but depending when the last bulb change took place, I would say you need need bulbs. ( need at least 1 for the high beam out )
Confirming with a meter at the headlamp would be a good idea, before spending the money.

The bulb connector has 3 pins.
Black wire is ground on both sides
Light Green w/ Black stripe wire is high beams on both sides
Driver Lo = Dark Blue w/ white stripe
Pass Lo = Dark Green w/ Orange stripe.

I have bright lights and no dim lights on my ford explorer

Hello, The first thing I would check is to make sure that your fuses are good, a lot of fors have a specific fuse in the fuse panel for low beams. As well believe it or not I have seen more times than I can count that both head lights need to be changed, I know it seems weird both going at the same time but it happens more than you can imagine.

One of the reasons this happens is because we use low beams much more than high beams. Good Luck and I hope this helps. twitter, SwiftAuto if you have anymore questions.

a lot of newer cars have seperate fuses for both left and right head lights both high and low beam. you should check your owners manual to see fuse locations and designations for your head lights.

I have a honda city 2001 car. my headlights dont work on low beam but ok on high beam. please help

first thing you want to do is Check your fuses. and if you dont have a bad fuse see if you have a low beam head light relay. if there is you can take the relay to a parts store and have it checked to make sure it is good free of charge. but if it is bad just get a new one and replace it. and see if this helps. but it could also be a bad ground. or the head light dimmer switch its self i hope this helps you a little.
please rate me if you would
thank you
