How do i replace a clutch &preasure platewith throw out bearing on a 1987jeep. wrangler yj

why? state symptoms first then ask questions.
after all , some bark up wrong tree?

4 liter?
2wd or 4wd?
the FSm book cover this.
it like 50 steps.

  • battery neg lug off..
  • drain xfr case then transmission. 4wd guessing, i am
  • drop drive shafts.
  • drop drop cross members (i did a 88 last jeep done)
  • put tranny jack in place. below trans.
  • all cables and hoses, connnectors off trans and transfer case,(obvious) OFF
  • remove bell bolts bottom and top last. (avoid cantilevering trans off bottom bolts )
  • slide trans back,
  • end story, as the remainder is abvious back in.

is this your first, trans?
if yes, youtube 100s of others first, then ask questions.

my 88 had a stinking coax slave cylinder deep inside, sux.

Fuel injectors quit working

fuse power to rail injector must be good check fuses first.
is CEL glowing key ?
ok,no engine stated. this the 4 liter? I6? nah you said HEADS
not 2.5L I4
not 4.0 L I6
so must be V6, really
or the 2.1L diesel....>>>>
and 3 or 4 diffr. EFI systems, im not much help
why folks post engine free ,amazes me....

it takes 2 things.
fuel pressure over 30psi (generic)
and the noid lamp passing on injector.

and the knowledge that all jeeps,(cars) cut fuel (gas)
if the PCM see and errors with (crank for 5 seconds)
1: spark?
2: CMP?
3: CKP?
4: if IMMO , that too, no imm on 87, think , go lazy to look up.

If the NOID lamps fail x6 (no injection pulses)
then the ASD relay is dropping out)
87 is the really really old RENIX/Benicx injection system. on 4L
i had a 88. same car.
see alldata.com for permissive to inject.

on my old I6 4L Renix sys
the injectors are all grounded , that is correct
and the ECU drives this hot switched ! unlike most cars.
back then the ASD was called the LATCH relay.
if it dont pull in and stay , it will not run.

Ill stop there. until you say what engine and country car resides.
export jeeps are wired different (laws)

It's a 305 fuel injected 1987 chev truck when i turn the key the fuel pump comes on but it won't start seems like there is no gas going to .throddle body. What could be the problem please?

Look inside the frame rail on the driver side for a fuel filter. May be a cheap fix. If it's not there, follow the fuel lines until you find it. Hopefully, it's not in the tank.

Ran out of gas on my 1998 ford explorer an now it wont start i put gas an it just cranks but no start any solutions out there

Make sure you have at least 5 gallons of gas in the tank. If you hear the fuel pump power up test the fuel pressure at the end of the injection rail if you have fuel injection. If you have a carburetor injection system remove the air cleaner so you can prime the Carb and pour an ounce or 2 directly into the carb and see if it will start. If it doesn't you may have a much larger problem. If it doesn't start when you prime the carb you need to do a compression check on the cylinders to see if you have lost compression on the cylinders. Being this old of a vehicle it is possible the Timing Chain broke which gives you the same symptom as running out of gas when it happens and the motor is running. If you have actual fuel injection with an injection rail, assuming the fuel pump is powering up (You should be able to hear it), you can bleed air off the line in most cases using the check valve at the end of each rail. It is sometimes covered by a small dust cap and when you remove the cap it looks like a standard valve you would find in any tire stem. You can release the air bubbles from the line like you would release the air from a tire by pressing the center of the check valve. That will remove the possibility that you have air bubbles in the line.

The inline fuel injecter is messed up, do i have to drop the gas tank on a 95 grand jeep cherokee?

no, fuel injectors are on the motor, in you look at your engine, right above one of the spark plugs, you will see an silver looking bar go accross twords the next plug, this is you fuel rail, on the inside of this rail are the injectors, each one goes into the block and has two little wires going into it. Once you know which of these injectors is bad you can take off the fuel rail (being careful to relieve the fuel pressure first) and then replace the injector, which snaps into both the block and the fuel rail, please also note that when you do this, be sure the old "o" rings come out with the old inject and the new injectors have the "o" ring in place, i once had a bad experience whyen i neglected to do so. Good Luck!
