I would put a new belt on and when your done try to twist the belt if it twists more than half of the way the tesioner is worn out if it was me i would probally replace it just to be safe because it is a 93 and a turbo d which has more vibration which can wear out the spring

Replace power steering belt

You should have a serpentine belt (one continuous multi-grooved belt) on that model in which case the easiest way is to get (or borrow) the special tool (a long bar with a place to install a socket) to back the tensioner off enough to slip the belt off one of the pulleys. Install in the reverse order using the wrench back the tensioner pulley back enough to get the belt over the last pulley then release the tensioner - it will automatically provide the proper tension. If it a single V-belt then look for a bolt or bolts you can loosen and slide the power steering pump toward the motor and remove the old belt then install the new one, carefully pry the pump back into place and tighten the bolt(s). This should work on most vehicles.

What is the problem if the serpentine belt keeps coming off. Also when cr is running it is a sqealing sound

The squealing sound you are hearing is the serpentine belt slipping. There are a couple of things this might be. Your serpentine belt may be stretched and no longer fits properly. If the belt is old and starting to dry out you will notice cracks and possibly pieces out of the channels on it. You should look to replace this if you haven't already. The belt itself may not be threaded through all the wheels properly and that is why it does not fit properly. Here is a link to see the serpentine belt diagram for your car. Simply choose the make, model, year and engine for your car to see how it should be properly installed.
http://www.2carpros.com/diagrams It may also be that the belt tension-er is no longer working properly. If you are not sure which wheel is the belt tensioner check the diagram from the link I provided above. Once you know which one the tensioner is, use a wrench or socket wrench to make sure that it still has motion and that there is no part where there is motion but no pressure. If this is the case the tensioner needs to be replaced. It is not difficult to replace, there are usually 2 or 3 bolts that hold it on, that need to be removed then bolt on the new tensioner. Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

Replacing serpentine accessory belt. Is it necessary to remove motor mounting brace to remove and install new serpentine belt?

From my understanding I think you have to remove the motor mount and mount the engine to remove it because I have been asking different mechanics about the serpintine belt on my 1998 Buick Lasabre.

My serpintine belt keep coming off i replaced pulley and tensione

Typically a belt will come off if all the pulleys are not perfectly aligned.
If you recently replaced a power steering pump and the pulley was not properly seated all the way down where the pulley front is flush with the metal shaft from the pump then you will shred the belts and they will come off. If you ONLY swapped the tensioner and idler pulley you may have installed the tensioner so it isn't parallel to the other pulleys but that would be very rare because it would have been difficult to get the belt on if it was not properly installed. There also could be a damaged plastic pulley that could be "cutting" into the belt which would also cause the belt to slip off.

Serpintine belt installation?

when you lift the hood on your car and look on the panel by your radiator or the cover that covers the top of your radiator is there a diagram that shows the routing of your serpentine belt? Most all cars have this diagram in the place. It shows how the belt is routed. The only other thing you need to know to get the old belt off and another one on is look for a pulley that has spring loaded tension on it that is called a Idler pulley. There should be a square hole in the front of the bracket for this idler pulley that will accept a 3/8 or 1/2 ratchet or breaker bar. Put it in the square hole and then use pressure to push the pulley down so that your belt will easily slip off. If you go to a parts store they will show you how to take it off if you buy the belt from them and can' figure it out.
