There should be two bolts that a 17 metric wrench will fit on , one will be on the bottom to drain the oil and one on the side of manual transmission about 12 inchs from the bottom you take the bolt off and take a funnel with a hose connected to it and fill it till it starts to spill out of transmission then it is full put the bolt back on i know it sounds strange but that is the way they are

i would start at distributer cap and rotor the less power to spark plugs makes less fire which makes it have less power and make it want to stall

TOYOTA COROLLA GL 1988 1300 HOW MUCH GEARBOX OIL FOR MANAUL

when you go to fill the gearbox you should be filling it from the fill hole that is on the side of the gearbox and you want to fill it right up to that hole --- you can not over fill it because oil will start flowing out,, stop and screw the plug back in, you are done. ( note: make sure you are filling it while the car is level ).

1. While car in off, check resistance of each wire to body. The one that has 0 ( lowest) resistance is earth (ground)
2. Start the car, turn on hi beam, measure the voltage of the rest of wires to the earth. The one has DC voltage ( 12-13 VDC) is Hi beam positive ( +) cable.
3. The rest is Low beam positive cable

Engine strap and wheels STARLET 98

By engine strap do you mean Cam belt? Which should be done every 100000kms or 60000miles tyres should be replaced when the tread gets below 3mm deep ( depending on your country's regulations ).
Try abebooks.com for the manual.
Hope this helps.

Toyota ep71 starlet 1988 - 5spd manual trans

The Corolla gearbox has a longer tailshaft than the Starlet and the gearstick is in a different place, you may be able to fit with a modified driveshaft and a new hole in the floor , the starlet 5 speeds were a little fragile and prone to doing bearings. I would recommend rebuilding the one you have as it will probably be less hassle and cheaper.
