Hi, suddendly my focus 2006 zx4 feels a little lazy, when I push gas to claim for acceleration I hear engine noise but it doesn't release power to the wheels, acceleration becomes lazy and it feel like the engine is throtteling but without turning the wheels fast. Acceleration is lazy.
Afew days before it was ok, but some day I had to push gas to the bottom to advantage another car and heard the engine at high revolutions. What is happening now? what should I check to recover the power? Regards

Hi Jenny, Sorry to hear your distress! When the check engine light comes on it generates a fault code, this will assist in pointing a mechanic in the right direction of where the fault is! You cannot just reset the light and hope the fault disappears! The garage that did the work needs to find the reason the light is on and put the fault right since it is their responsibility to give the car back with no lights on the dash!
You can remove the negative (black) battery cable and re-set your service engine light or got to your local auto parts store and they can re-set your codes with their code-reader - as far as rough running, maybe some debris was allowed into your fuel tank and needs to be dissolved with a fuel system cleaner like Chevron Techron
I have a 06 SES ZX4, same foaming and whining, burped fluid out the cap, progressively worsening in the cold weather. After reading several blogs, found the Ford TSB 08-18-9, and looked at my reservoir O-rings. The outboard ring looked bad, inboard was visibly OK. Replaced both, fixed my problem (Oreilly Auto Parts). Another blogger said he found a filter in his reservoir, mine did not have one. Also, fluid is dark, will be flushing very soon. Car has 130K miles.
what is your question? what dont you know how to do? do you have tools? belt diagram available from parts stores. you have a tensioner, so you need to turn it to release tension. other than that i need more info.
