Question about 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

1 Answer

I have 2006 Chevy Colorado with 2.8l vortex engine (standard), Idles great but when i am going down the road then push the clutch in to stop the RPM gage will go up and down from 700RPMs to around 300RPMs until i come almost to a complete stop then im back to the normal idle which is arount 700RPMs. It has also while in first gear going down a hill around 10 miles per hr i pressed the clutch in and braked, the truck then shut off. i only have problems when i am moving then press clutch in. i would like to know what you think the problem is and how i can fix it or is it normal?

There is a recall for valve problems. The warranty for this problem has been extended to 100,000 miles for that. Check with your dealer to see if that is the problem. If no help contact GM.

1996 pontiac firebird when I push in on the clutch the voltage meter goes down and the engine dies

I would check out the clutch itself, plate, pad, cylinders, etc. But it could be something as simple as it idles at waaay to low of an RPM, which that is a simple twist of a screw to fix.

Rough idle

I had the same exact problem on my 2004 Colorado (3.5L). Cleaned the MAF sensor (with MAF sensor cleaner) and throttle body/plate - cleared it right up.

Why does my rpm gage bounce when i push my clutch in?

May be an iac motor slow to react to change in load. RPM will change when shifting or engaging/disengaging clutch. Does not sound serious yet ... If you can, compare with similar vehicle and see it it does the same.
