Russ has the correct answer, NOT KEVIN. The fuel pump is located on the left side, underneath behind the rear end axle (it's a little thing) but............the hose that connected to it runs down from the gas tank coming from the RIGHT SIDE (Gas tank located behind the backseat only accessible from the truck)

Sounds like fuel pump is bad. Running fuel low puts alot of strain on electric fuel pumps. The fuel acts as a coolant for the pump, that's why it's advisable to keep at least 1/2 tank. It sounds like your pump finally just gave up. Pump might be making noise but it could just be spinning and not pumping. Have someone test your fuel pressure to confirm.

Fuel failure not getting fuel

Jaguar has an inertial sensing fuel pump cut off relay. It is supposed to be behind one of the panels next to your feet, in the front seat. It has a rod that sticks out, that has to be depressed back in. But sometimes there is also a complex procedure you have to do with the ignition switch as well. The dealer will give you the details for free if you call them.

Fuel pump is bad or plugged fuel filter it seems. Crack the line from the filter leading towards the engine first. If gas starts squirting out fast, you have good pressue. If not the filter is plugged or a bad pump. How old is the fuel filter by chance? If original its plugged up by now
