Check fuse #48 in the rear fuse panel first. If fuse is good, you may have a bad selector switch or the TCCM (Transfer Case Control Module) has gone bad. A technician with a high end scan tool can diagnose the system.
your actuator for the transfer case is probably malfunctioning. check to see if it makes any noice when you press the four wheel drive button. if not check current flow with a voltage meter. if no voltage is present check wiring and connections from the actualtor back. always check fuses and relays first.
hi hows it going, i'm having the same problem have you figured it out? i was out driving today came home for 3hrs then went out again and noticed the 4x4 light was out and the fuse was blown and blew when i put a new fuse in it's about -31 degrees could have the cold done got something stuck? any help would be awesome
I also have a 2002 Envoy. Shifting to and from 4wh and 4wa can be done on the fly but shifting to 4wL has to be done stoped and while in neutral. Try that. Otherwise I'm afraid its a new computer for you. Its located under the left rear seat and you need a loan for one.
