Question about 2004 Saab 9-3
P1128 on Motronic (1996 900 S) indicates multiplicative adaptation fault > 22%. Symptoms are poor driveability, hunting idle speed, possibly in combination with other DTCs (e.g. low fuel level, MAF (mass air flow sensor just behind the intake filter), misfiring).
WIS instructs one to 1st check wiring harnesses and connectors for places where shorts may have developed. Visual inspection results should be verified with multimeter. Check all air hoses and vac lines for leaks. Also check the throttle body o-ring which is a known problem. Check the evap purge cannister. Finally, electrically test the MAF.
