You have a rolling code system.Rolling code program requires you push a learn /program button on the GDO reciever at your home. Its located on your garage door reciever under the light cover. on you garage door unit. Use the garage door manufacture instruction to program the learn to recieve and accept home system for the garage door opener in your car
Push and hold the two outer buttons until the LED flashes fast Approx (15 seconds) then hold your garage opener
up to the mirror or visor and push and hold any button 3 or 4 seconds
on the opener Now the Home Link is programed. With the car safely away
from the closing garage door find and push the garage openers
red programming button (on the motor assembly somewhere that gives you
about 30 seconds to push your cars home link button so the garage opener
learns the button you want to use for that door the other two buttons
can be programed for other doors or house light controler gate opener in
the same manner
Turn your Chrysler vehicle off and press and hold the two outside buttons on your onboard opener system. Release the buttons once the red indicator light begins flashing. This will erase any previous codes programmed to your system.
Hold your garage door opener remote two inches away from the onboard system.
Press and hold the button you wish to program on your onboard system and the open button on your remote simultaneously. Release the buttons once the indicator light on the onboard system begins flashing.
Press the training button on your Chrysler's system until the light glows solid. If it does not glow solid, continue to the following steps.
Press the "learn" button on your garage door remote, located near the antenna wire on the back or side of the system, and return to your vehicle.
Press the training button on your on board system, hold it for two seconds and release. Repeat the press/hold/release step two more times and your remote will be programmed and ready for use.
I purchased a Chamberlain belt garage door opener. It was great! The lease on my duplex ended and the landlord bought it from me.
I found that the best way to program my vehicle's HomeLink buttons (to read the remote) was to do the learning procedure in a parking garage. This way the signal is not interrupted by all the waves around us.
Erase the factory test codes by pressing buttons 1 and 3. Release the buttons when the two green lights begin to flash (about 20 seconds ).
Choose one of the three buttons to train. Position the end of your hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches (5-14 cm) away from the lower left corner of the EVIC display while keeping the display in view.
Simultaneously press and hold both the desired Transmitter button and the hand-held transmitter button. After a short time, the message TRAINING will show on Transmitter display. Do not release the buttons until the message TRAINED appears on the display (this may take as long as 60 seconds ), release both the Transmitter and hand-held transmitter buttons.
Press and hold the just-trained Transmitter button. TRANSMIT should appear on the display. If your device activates when the Transmitter button is depressed and released, programming is complete. To train the other buttons, repeat the process. Be sure to keep your hand-held transmitter in case you need to retrain the universal transmitter. NOTE: If the message TRANSMIT appears on the Transmitter display but your device does not activate, the device may be equipped with a "rolling code" system. Continue with steps six through eight below to complete the programming of a rolling code equipped device (most commonly a garage door opener).
At the garage door opener receiver (motor-head unit) in the garage, locate the "learn" or "smart" button. This can usually be found where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the motor-head unit. Firmly press and release the "learn" or "smart" button. (The name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer.) NOTE: There are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step.
Return to the vehicle and firmly press, hold for two seconds and release the programmed Transmitter button. Repeat the "press/hold/release" sequence a second time, and, depending on the brand of the garage door opener (or other rolling code equipped device), repeat this sequence a third time to complete the programming process.
Transmitter should now activate your rolling code equipped device. To program the remaining two buttons, simply repeat the process.
