On my 2000 jetta glx, I had to replace both the shift knob and boot as one. It is built as one unit. You have to pull the boot up over the shift knob, break/bend a clip to "unlock" the shift knob then pull up. I hope the new knob you got has the boot built in and comes with a new clip.

They should be able to do that. Give them the yr , make, model, enginesize and you mention the rotor cams. I've never heard that term except when speaking of point type ignitions.. Is this a point type? Do not be concerned about pulling the old one unless you need the car. Then, take the car to them and you can do your comparisons ther at the store, Good Luck What is your concern about pulling it out? -Ned

Hurst is the only brand that's worthwhile to upgrade to.

Are you racing on the track?

Spending $ on a lighter flywheel and torque converter will get more bang for the buck.

SOURCE: Horn goes off by it self

the problem is caused by the horn pad being warped out of shape by the sun and hot interior, if it is part of the airbag u will need to replace the entire assmebly.
