Re: Need to change wiper- 2005 trailblazer
Christina, Ido not know what kind of wipers are on your T-B, but most wipers have a place at one end where you squeeze the wider areas and pull the blades out. If there is no widened place, it is the type made to change in a unit. It has a button to release the whole thing from the arm. It should be under the arm at the end toward the wiper.

The 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer has the most common hook-end wiper arms. Purchase the replacement blades first
and there will be additional instructions/illustrations on the replacement
packages. Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is
inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook.
You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook
to pass through.
Hello, there are different types of mounts for the wipers. Most of my Ford and Mercury products have a U looped end on the wiper arm. There is a button on the wiper and you push the plastic button and slide the wiperblade off the U bracket.
What is sometimes tricky is the wiper arm goes through and underneath the new blade. When you slide the new blade into the looped end it will lock.
Autozone will install for free and Walmart is kind of neat. Walmart will install free and you pay the same price for the blade as off the shelf.
There are other kinds of mounts. I have seen POST mounts which are simply a post on the end of the arm. But there are different size posts. The plastic clip is removed to these and the blade simply lifts off. Then reattach the clip.
Worthy of mention. Put wipers on and turn off ignition when the wiper is conveniently stopped at a place where you can easily reach them. Some wiper arms can be lifted and they will stay lifted off the glass for service.
hi pull the wiper back from the windowscreen and here is a black plastic clip half way down the wiper blade press that and pull the blade down wards and refit the same way, mesure the blade in inchs so you get the right size for the new one. regards
I just changed the wiper blades on my 2008 Highlander base. It is too simple. Pull the arm up so it is perpendicular to the car. In the middle of the wiper arm facing outward is a clip, simply pull the clip up (no tools needed) and take the arm off. Too simple, very different that all the other approaches for wiper blades.
With the pin style blades, if you look into the top of the blade at the point were the pin goes through, you will see what looks like a spring or a coil on its side. Use a small screwdriver and push down on that coil at the same time that you try to push the wiper off the pin. I have changed more of these than you can think of, and they are never easy, you have to get things in just the right possition before it will come all the way off. Once you do one the other will come off easier. One word of caution, don't let the wiper arm slip out of your hand and smack the windsheild, it can break it.
I have not looked at the wipers on one yet but if they use a standard wiper, dont change the entire blade assembly. Change just the insert portion of the wiper blade if that is an option. Just lift the arm and then flatten back the blade assembly and a gap should form at one end so that you can slide the blade out from the the flex portion of the assembly. Then just stick the new inserts in the way you pulled the old ones out. At one time that was all that people used to replace. Now we think that we have to replace the flex portion as well but normally you dont. I dont have a 2005 Jaguar but it might also be a special blade you have to purchase. I have seen that before as well. Hope this helps...
You probably already figured this out, but you have to remove the wiper arm completely in order to replace the wiper blade.
The blades are an unusual size (somewhere around 14 1/2") and I believe they are only available from a Nissan dealership. They include printed instructions in the box but just in case, this is from the official Nissan service manual:
hi at one end of the blade depress the clip and it should slide out when fitting the new one make sure you insert it into the runners evenly also i think u would break the blade before anything else so dont be affraid its the old one anyway
