Question about 2003 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cab
I shut off the ignition and did not realize that the radio was turned down and the dome light and rear outside cab light stayed on and wore down the battery. Is the ignition the problem or is it elsewhere? What needs to be done to fix this? Thanks
2003 F250 SD Supercab XL ,auto, 5.4l gas engine, 4x4 158" WB
I have the same truck. The thing is designed so that the radio and dome light and even the windows will operate for a time which should expire immediately when you open the door. Try turning on the radio with engine running and then turn off the engine and just sit there and the radio should still play. Try the power windows - they too should go up and down. Finally open the drivers door and that should immediately kill the radio, windows and dome light. If it does not - you will need to report that problem to your dealer since the problem is in that timer feature which is part of the vehicles "brain". Sorry I can't be more helpful.
