Question about 1991 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
I have a loud pulley metal to metal screeching noise that wd-40 took away temporarily. now it won't go away..i start the car..press slightly on the accelerator..0-500 rpm and it starts the constant screeching pulley sound...raymond
If its a metal to metal sound more than likely the bearings are going out on pulley replace any pulleys that have any lateral slack or don't spin quietly and smoothly

Replace front drive belts. There comes a time when they get so worn and polished that they just don't grip anymore.
