Service engine soon light stays on

I have a 2000 buick lesaber that has started hesitating when driving. sometimes it will cut off when getting ready to park but never has cut off while driving it.the car has a fairly new ignition moduel so i dont think its that. had new wires and pluges put on two years ago and they have about ten thousand miles on them. today the service engine soon light came on and stayed on. anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

I have the same problem, it started after I didnt warm my car up on a very cold night. The car starts pulseing when it is in park, my check engine light didnt come on but while in park it acts like its going to cut off. The power flickers on an off including the heat and the lights. This happens only when it is in park. What might this problem be.

I have a 2000 buick lesabre. It was misfiring and eating gas like crazy. I replaced a coil pack that was not firing and the ignition module because it was not working right. I recently just put new plugs and wires on too. The service engine light stays on and blinks constantly at all times. All of this has not corrected the problem. What else can it be?

Many people never think about or ask about their exhaust sytems causing problems..a bad catalytic convertor can cacuse exactly what you're talking about..

A very simple check to see if that's your rpoblem

My 2000 buick lesabre hesitates when i hit the gas

You need to get the computer scanned to see what the "trouble code" is. The light is on because the computer found an error.

Someone please help!!!! I have a 2000 buick

A cam sensor only helps the computer when cranking and should not make it cut off. Most cam sensors do not go bad, but he magnet on the timing gear will deterorate. To fix that the timing cover will have to come off. Replace the crank sensor they get hot and stop working. When they cool down they will work again until it gets hot.

Blue smoke but no lights on the problem

blue smoke on startup is generally from worn valve guides or bad stem seals on same (not really terrible as long as it stays the same) It will run rough for a minute 'till the oil in the cylinders is cleared out. Service engine light is pretty much on its own timer and does not mean anything but it's there to annoy you into going to the dealer. If O2 sensor was bad, it would eventually put the red check engine light on.

1999 buick lasabre hesitation while driving.

there are really only 2 things that cause this problem most of the time i have seen it, 1st a defective Mass Airflow Sensor, the second is low fuel pressure from a failing pump or obstructed fuel filter do u have a check/service engine soon light on at any time? have u had the system tested for trouble code's? Go to any Kragen or Autozone and ask for a OBD 2 trouble code test, it is free, record any code's that show and post them back here on this same thread.
