Strange noise from front drivers side after approaching 30mph.

I have an '02 Odyssey that just recently started making a noise that I thought was the tire. We rotated tires and noise is still coming from front left side. Also have a little shake in steering wheel. It starts at about 30mph.

When the van is in a right turn on the highway a rumbling noise is heard coming from the right front tire. A mechanic quickly checked the front tire quickly yesterday and they said they did not see anything wrong.

Try checking the CV axle for a torn rubber boot over the knuckle, and also jack and shake the wheel up, down, left and right, as you may have a bad wheel berring or something else in the front end. Also check the strut, see if it's leaking, and also check the spring for breakage.
Hope this helps you out!

2 possibilities bearings or damaged rotor. Inspect the rotor, and you can jack the vechicle up just by that tire leaveing the tire free to turn. grab the wheel on the sides try and shake top to bottom in and out, then side to side in and out. If you have play more than likely its your hub bearings.

My '06 Honda Odyssey has gotten noisy recently.

If it is filled up to the "full hot" mark then you are okay, fluid wise. It almost sounds like once it gets warmed up, it starts running better. The "growling" noise (especially when turning) could be from it not getting enough fluid. Other than that, your power steering pump maybe on its last legs, and it is taking time to warm up before it starts pumping fluid correctly. Just make sure that you power steering resevoir is completely filled to the proper mark.

I think it is the control arm they can make thumping and other strange noises coming from under there when you hit the brakes and let them off while your driving. What it does will range depending on how bad they are. The car may also pull to one side.

2000 Honda Odyssey making squealing noise when I turn

Sounds like the brake pad wear indicator tab on the inner brake pad as the pads sometimes wear out unevenly due to stiky brake calliper slides. You would have to remove the wheel to inspect it.

Gday. I have an 02 tribut that makes a knocking noise from the front end whenever I drive over a rough surface. I have changed drivers side engine mount and sway bar links but still the same problem. Any...

Hi Adam

Have you also replaced the sway bar bushes? Also check the lateral member that runs from the FRONT of the the vehicle to the REAR of the subframe. It supports the front engine and transmission mount. The front two bolts have a metal bush inside of a rubber isolater. Undo then retighten these and the rear mount bolt up to torque. In saying that while its up on ramps start from the front and tighten every nut, bolt and screw right to the rear of the vehicle.
Also check, believe it or not, the front seat bolts. I had a persistent rattle in what I thought was the exhaust system, only to discover that all of the front seat bolts were only finger tight.

Replaced front brake pads and also two studs Drivers side only, on 2001 nissan altima GLE . After driving about 20 to 30 miles the drivers side starts making a noise similar to a smog pump bearing noise ....

Well this is tricky. I have no idea what this could be except for the bearings. The reason I suspect this is because turning and braking will change the pressure you put on each wheel, so reducing or increasing pressure on that specific wheel could make a new noise.
