There is no oil fill tube. The correct procedure is to fill the pan through the drain plug. Remove the small inner plug, with the vehicle running fill the pan until ther is a small steady stream coming out of the drain plug.

How do i know if i need transmission oil for my pajero 2001

Probably more than you want to know, but here is the workshop manual on the transmission. I had a friend with a Pajero, and it had some kind of jangling bell if he went over 68 mph. Drove us mad going to the airport on a 325 mile trip.

I don't know how well this will transfer.
You may need to do an internet search for it or check your owners manual.

Hi Jubam, If the vehicle is designated all wheel drive and there are no levers from the gearbox or switches on the panels, it usually means that it is full time 4 X 4 incorporating a third differential. Regards John

Is there a special fluid for a sealed transmision? and can valvoline instant oil change replace the fluid? they said they could but i have doubts.

Are you asking if a business named "Valvoline Instant Oil Change" can change the fluid in your transmission ? If that is the question, I would say, yes they can.

An automatic trnsmission uses ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid) -- any garage which does oil changes will have ATF and would know what to do with it.

How do you change the transmission fluid in a 2007 ford explorer? I've already drained it, can't take it to a dealer now.

if you drained it then you need to look in your owner's manual for the right amount of fluid that your transmission takes then put fluid through the transmission fluid dipstick. If you got any question plz feel free. Good luck

    Transmition oil change fill plug

most transmissions don't have drain plugs any more. Have to drop oil pan to drain fluid.
Some don't have dip sticks either.

Will not change gear until you have done about 2 miles. 1993 ford explorer 4ltr v6 left hand drive ( eddie bouer )

How many miles? Get the transmission serviced. Get the filter changed and get new fluid put in. Ford transmissions arent that great, but try getting the transmission serviced. I got a ford taurus that was said to have a bad trans. I changed the filter and put a new filter in. Voila, a 500 dollar car turned into a 3000 dollar car. : )

I need change the automatic transmission fluid Explorer 2002 E.B.

There IS a transmission drain plug on the 2002 Ford Explorer! It is, however, difficult to get the fluid back in as there IS NO dipstick (tube) to refill it. I installed the pan bolts far enough to hold the pan up (level) and then stuck a hose (attached to a funnel at top of engine compartment) through the opening between the pan and the bottom of the transmission. I was able to put five quarts in that way - no more as it will overflow (trust me). You can check other sites on how to check to see if that's enough and how to add more as needed. That's not simple either. Great idea Ford Motor Company (sarcasm) !!!!!!
