Question about 1998 Dodge Stratus
After jumping the car a couple of times the answer was a dead battery. well now after replacing the battery the car has what it seems to me a slow crank and wont start. it has no spark either. 98 dodge stratus 2.5l
The 2 problems are seperate . The starter might have been the one draining your battery. The bushings on a starter can wear out and the core starts to fall down a little at a time until it hits the "beds" This causes the starter to lose speed as it falls. I would recomend that you replace the starter or have it rebuilt. The starting problem may be the coil or coils . although I don't know if your car has an external coil(s) or is built into the distributer.
