How do i remove my door pannel
It is held on by little plastic clips. grab hold of one of the corners and give it a steady tug to pop one of the clips loose. Follow along the rest of the panel but be sure to unclip the wires to the window switch and lock switch before yanking the panel away. If the clips are still reusebale which they should be, they should be in the door itself use a fork to pry the clips out and replace them in the panel to put the door panel back on after you are done working.

Hi Leon, I have a E34 1995 5 series and had to take door cards off. They're predominantly held on by plastic button clips around the edge/circumference of the door card HOWEVER there is a couple of screws hidden, 1 is behind the chrome door pull/lever a little round plastic cover hides it the other is behind the top of door handle maybe on yours behind door mirror electric adjuster button. one scew is philips the other Torx when pulling the card off the clips try a large flat/wide implement to prise it away as you may breaks some of the clips (£2/3 eBay) One more thing the door handle locates into a grip from behind you'll need a long screwdriver to push the tang up to release it. All the above should be well similar to your model. Oh! nearly forgot remember to unscrew/take off the door pin that goes up and down when locked/unlocked

They have kits you can buy to remove the door panel but when you do it, be careful and go slow, make sure not to break off the clips on the door panel otherwise it wont fit right when you want to put it back in. im not so sure about the mirror though.

There are some hidden screws around the door handle but you get under the panel and yank hard to pop the fasteners. Also remove the black piece behind the mirror. Alot of times it is seperate. 3 screws behind that and the connector and you are done.

I have the same problem in my 2001 towncar. I removed the switch control panel (without removing the door panel) by prying up from the front of the panel. There's a spring loaded plug under the mirror adjustment. Once you get that pulled up, the whole unit will lift out. Since there's a two year difference in the models - it MAY not work... however, you might not have to remove the whole door panel as you think.
In my case, the wiring was bad.
