2004 Ford Escape Electrical problem

I have a 2004 Ford Escape that the battery died on. I had the battery replaced. When I went to jump start my Escape from another car everything started up fine but something happened and my Escape's radio didn't turn on, the interior dome lights didn't come on, I can't can't use the remote to unlock/lock the doors, can't use the button on the door to lock/unlock unless the key is turned on, and the radio no longer works even while driving. I didn't smell any burnt plastic, All my fuses seemed fine and not fried. What can I do now?

I have a 2002 escape with the same problem. My alternator went bad and was replaced but the exact same components are not working now. I have checked the fuses and they are fine also. I need some guidance too.

I have the same problem with the radio. Ford tried to say that it was from boosting incorrectly. I have recently found out that it is a ford electrical problem. Is this true?

SOURCE: 2004 Ford Escape Electrical problem

This is a problem with the alternator. Diode rectifiers and voltage regulator replacement will give this baby a 14.2 voltage output. In this 3L V6 SUV removal of the alternator requires removing the right tire, the right axis and undercovering to reach the 6G alternator. It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.

The issue with the key is because the car battery ran down. This can be compounded if you jump started it.

How do i know when my alternator is going bad

If the batt light is on, the alternator is not charging the battery.
If the battery won't hold a charge, it could be failing.
If you are having a specific problem with your PT Cruiser or Mustang, let us know what it is.

My wife's 2003 Ford Escape lost all electrical

Too early I think to have the automatic collision shutdown system. These can be troublesome Had a car that wouldn't start after the lady slammed the boot shut.
Are you using the original ignition key supplied by Ford and not a cut copy ?

My battery light on the instrument panel lit up and I replaced the battery. The light went out but came back on after 1 day and the car died and would not start.

Sounds like a charging system issue. Make sure battery terminals are clean with tight connections. Also have your ALTERNATOR tested. Autozone will do this for free.

I have a 2004 ford escape. and I,m haveing problems keeping it ru

HAVE BATTERY CHECKED IT COULD BE BAD OR HAVE A DEAD CELL IN IT.ALSO CHECK ALTERNATOR OUT PUT.IT SHOULD BE 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLTS. IF NOT THE ALTERNATOR ALREADY BEEN REPLACED YOU HAVE BLOWN FUSE OR FUSELINK.OR THE ALTERNATOR WIRES COULD BE DAMAGED OR BROKE.MAKE SURE YOUR ALTERNATOR BELT NOT SLIPPING.IF ALL IS GOOD.YOU NEW ALTERNATOR COULD HAVE A FACTORY DEFECT.IT COULD BE BAD.

05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it started fine but only runned for a few minutes and the engine started to stall and went off. tried to start it again and it wont turn with the same...

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

Ford escape 2004 V6 4x4 3.0L

So, dose it need a jump start every time? Have you tested your battery? Look, I'm suggestioning that your battery is messed up and your alternator is working now. Start your truck, and unhook the battery, if the engine keeps running, it's not your altenator or regulator. If it dies, then it's likely the regulator.
