I own a 03 chevy impala and the a/c works on and off. It can blow cold air one minute shut off the car and blows hot the next. You can go a week blowing cold then go hot for days almost over heating my car. Then temp doesnt change when driving but rather whenever you start it is when it chooses to work or not. The fan switch broke which was replaced and the relay switch replaced and still has not fixed the problem,,,When it was put on a scanner during the time it wasnt working there was no signal going to the compressor but when he went to work on it the cold air was working again so it was hard to track down the problem,,,and now another person is going to look into the problem cluelessly please help me
Does your car have enough antifreeze in it? If the car is running hot then your a/c is not going to cool properly. I would check that. I would also check to see if the clutch on the air compressor is trying to go out. To check the clutch grab the front pulley of the compressor and if it is loose or wiggles then your clutch is going out. You can replace just the clutch without having to change the entire system.

there can be a problem to air conditioner of the car . I guess you just have to go to the dealer or the toyota car shop for repair of the air conditioner . may be it's the fan of the air con that is not working properly. they can replace it .Because it is design to that car .
