Great. Glad to hear that you are up and running again.

Good talking to you again. Shame I could not help better...

Y'see, when you apply a rating on the Premium services, the interaction between you and me were terminated. FixYa only allows you to interact with one "expert" at a time.

    Stupid system.

Sorry I could not help you better...

I posted the solution. the tech tapped on the actuator located on the differential and it started working again. seems it was hanging up. the tech said that it should eventually replaced as it is liable to do it again.

Hi,

1994 4runner swapped engine 3.0 to a 1990 3.0 everything hooked up good. Spits fuel out the intake. 1992 is a 2wd and 1990 is a 4wd. Is it ECU issue?

dont think so ?have you used the old 94 manifolds etc this happens with timing or valves sticking open ? would need more info about 1990 engine ie did you hear it run before change ????

2000 Toyota 4Runner stalls on idle

On Toyota 3.4 liter V6,there is small vacuum switch call vacuum switching valve (VSV) that may be disconnected air tubes, electrical connector or malfunction.

I will spend one hour to look over the engine from top to bottom to check for bad connections and disconnected vacuum / air tubes.

Are you getting any additional OBD-II code(s)?

Please post it on the comment window.

I would first check the wires on the transfer case for possible damage at the 2wd/4wd switch.

4WD SYSTEM

You probably have an issue with the A.D.D. (Auto Disconnect Device) on the front axle. That is what lights up the light. I'd need to know the year to get you better info. If it is newer, check the 4WD fuse under the dash. But, in any case, if it IS in 4WD, the vehicle will make tire noises on a real tight turn, and it will lurch on the same tight turn, like it is trying to drill itself into the street. 4Runners do not have a viscous coupling, in 4wd, all 4 wheels run the same RPM.
