Oil filter is located on top of the engine inside a canister with a screw on lid.

alot of times on deisels when we do a fuel filter we get a no start. Bleeding the air out can be a pain at times. I highly recommend you have a shop do this for you. A no start at home will mean a tow to the garage

2005 Ford F350 SuperDuty 6.0 litre Diesel. Truck was very sluggish to accelerate and little or no boost showing on turbo pressure gauge. Next morning, it started fine, but when put in gear would quit and...

well the question is where did the coolant go. if it didnt leak out it must have went out the pipe. As you stated, white smoke, white smoke is coolant. You definately need to get this to the shop. You cannot drive it this way or further damage will occur.

2003 ford f350 6.0 diesel

The 6.0l diesel is noted for having oil and fuel enter the coolant system. If it is oil then the oil cooler has failed. The oil cooler is located the the center of the engine under the intake. On an F-series truck the oil cooler is below the oil filter housing. It can be identified by two things. The low oil pressure sensor and a small blue or orange hose is connected to the cooler. If it is fuel in the coolant then you have a cracked head or cracked injector sleeve.
