1992 3000GT Clutch

Okay, I have a manual transmission 1992 3000GT. When I try to ge tthe engine into first and take off I have to rev up the engine before it moves. It seems not to want to move until then. It feels like the clutch is barely engaging. The pedal goes gown rather easily with relatively no resistance when I shift gears. But, its that intial take off in 1st gear that is of concern.

was the gears engaging properly before the new clutch was installed?

how soft is the clutch peddle dose it just drop to the flour?
if so you may need to bleed the clutch again.

also was a heavy duty or performance clutch fit?

Check both the clutch cylinders may be there is no enough pressure to release the clutch or the syncronising rings in the gear box are worne out.

My 2004 jetta manual transmission will not go into any gear if I rev the motor slightly it will go in but at idle it will not when in gear clutch fully pushed in it still rolls forward a bit please help!

Your clutch is not fully disengaged. If it is a hydraulically operated it could be as simple as needing fluid, or as serious as needing a new master and/or slave cylinder. If all of that is okay then your clutch disc may be binding on the transmission input shaft, or you may need the clutch and pressure plate replaced.

My engine seems to rev very high when switching gears. why is that?

it sounds like the fluid level is low-this will cause engine to rev up while it is trying to change gears
the other problem may be that the clutch plates in transmission may be bad
automatic trans having clutch plates and they do go bad
if fluid level is ok try draining fluid and replacing it
if that does not work u need to have the transmission looked at.

When i take off in my truck it goes threw every gear great but when i floor it. my rpms rev up and the truck goes no where what could that be?

Manual transmission? If so the clutch is shot.
Automatic transmission? If so then the clutches could be shot. If the truck eventually gets up to speed and seems better then the torque converter is bad. (internal sprag is broken) Automatic transmissions have a number of clutch packs and yours has at least one band as well. If pressure is low or the clutches are worn out it will slip. And it will get pretty hot too so your oil will smell bad and be a brownish color instead of pinkish red.

When i exelerate my car it just revs and has no exeleration

have you checked transmission fluid (auto) gearbox drive bands will slip if insufficient fluid.if level is okay gearbox needs service or replace.if it is a (manual) clutch can start to slip from wear and tear.

Engine revs but car doesn't accelerate

Since you did not say what type of transmission you have i will suspect the clutch is slipping if it's a manual.
If it's an automatic, it could be several things. Low fluid level...clogged filter, fluid needs to be changed..transmission serviced...weak pump, bands/clutch packs worn...etc
Good luck..i hope this helps, please rate me a fixya.

Manual transmission

If the engine revs up when you let the clutch out and the car doesn't move then most likely your clutch is slipping and not bitting.
