The ac system has a low pressure switch when the unit is low on freon the compressor wont work . this is to keep the compressor from burning up. have your freon level checked.

No cooling effect from ac

the obvious first, check freon... second, check fuses, and finally check that the clutch engages on the ac compressor when turned on (you should here a click and notice a small, momentary difference in the idling of the truck) you can also visually check the clutch by watching the compressor when someone else turns it on. if the clutch is not working, the inner part of the pulley does not spin.

Compressor clutch engaged with heat selected on 2004 silverado

Sounds like a problem with the selector switch or the HVAC control module, or the PCM.
The PCM thru the control module grounds the compressor relay when the compressor is needed.

The ac blows cold and then hot while driven

If you can duplicate the problem parked, see if the compressor is running when it stops blowing cold.
Could be low on freon, a faulty ac clutch, relay, or other electrical problem.

2003 Nissan Frontier 4 cyl, AC has stopped blowing cold air, how do I fix this?

Depends on the problem.
Is the compressor working when the engine is running ?
Is one ac line hot and the other cold ?
Have you checked to see if it is low on freon ?

A/C and Heater will not blow air..

Blower motor resistor is most common ($20-$70) it controls the blower motor fan and speeds or fan relay fuse (usually under the hood) If it's not either then the blower itself is bad. You can pull the motor and apply 12volts to it to test, if it spins then the resistor.

Ford f250 airconditioner switch does not work on 1996 f250 diesel. it was working intermittently and randomly then just stopped. where is the switch and the fuses are all fine. and how do i replace? thanks...

there is a pressure switch next to the air dryer under the hood.to test jump the 2 wires together and if the compressor works then the switch is bad and the system will need to be evacuated to take out the switch.Change the filter in there as well the recharge the system with 134a approx. 2 1\2 lbs

Start by checking the fuses & relay switches. That's usually where the problem is.
