Question about 2004 BMW 6 Series
I have a 645ci BMW (2005).
planning to buy a new ignition key to replace the one I have as it is very loose and sometimes difficult to turn the key once in.
wanted to know the procedure for replacing it.
This can be very difficult to do you must make sure the baterry for the vehicle is disconnected you must remove the casing around the location of the ignition key barrel and there should be a few little pins holding the cylinder in itself with a plug attached be advised though some vehicles with electronic keys may crank over but not run without reprogramming the computer because the car may read the new key set up as someone trying to steal the car just make sure the battery is unhooked this is very important
