Question about 1984 Isuzu Trooper
Happned all at once .carb just started to go faster and faster, up to a point, then leveled off , but will not idle down no matter what I do to it. The lower half of the carb ices over while running or while warming up , is that normal? Hope you can help.
Get it cleaned and rebuilt or get a new one man, and also check youre throttle cable

I would like to know what kind of car this is. year and make. but yu could try replacing the EGR valve. i had a 1995 saturn sl2, egr valve had been ruined somehow and believe it or not i replaced it and it stopped idling high. although the egr vlve has nothing to do with rpm's it could be relaying a signal to the ecm to make the rpms rev higher than normal
