I can hear and feel a problem with the stearing and also when braking on 2006 ford fusion it is more so when making a right turn

Is the noise constant when you drive? Does it change when you turn? Is it more like a drone than a grind?

I have an 06 ford fusion SEL with the 3 litre v6 and six speed automatic transmission. Its at 161000 miles currently. There is a loud rumbling nois coming from the front end. I had the tires, bearings and...

Sounds like it could be the CV joints, drive the car in reverse for a little and put steering on full lock, the noise will be a crunching sound coming from the front, if so then ist definitely the CV joint(constant velocity) joint, hope this helps

Grinding or creaking in 2008 ford fusion front end

Mr.Mangus have you checked at all your front suspension struts, shock absorbers,or lower wishbones with bushing and ball joints? I had recently a diesel ford focus 2007 with similar case and both front wishbones were replaced due to ball joints and bushes and then sent for steering alignment. Vehicle drive excellent. Please check.

My 07 Fusion has 100,000 miles on it and I think I'm hearing a slight grinding noise when I make a left turn. Could this be the CV joint?

More than likely that this could be a worn CV joint needing replacement if it is a front wheel drive

Grinding noise when turning wheel

I have heard a lot of dry outer tie rod ends and ball joints causing this problem. Ford used non greasable front end parts in those years.Could also be in the strut mounts. Get a second opinion. If it makes the noise sitting still it should be easy to find with stethascope or chassi ear.

2006 ford escape - abs and 4wd lights on yesterday - off today - brakes checked - ok - right turn makes grinding noise with slight application of brake -

the grinding nose you heard was something rubbing on the rotor, bad brakes, caliper, after market wheels, etc. the pressure of a turn bends something enough to touch, this is produceing metal flake that attached to the magnetic sensor on the abs sending a light on because it couldn't read the tire position as it turned, it may have got blown off, washed off, but when it can read the tire again the light will go off, i would look into the grinding noise on cornering thats the cause of the problem. hope this helps
