Front air suspesion dont go up
Go here for help with 1988 1994 Lincoln Continental Air Suspension Diagnosis Repair
From what you've described, you do have leaks in the system. Because the system goes to sleep an hour after you get out, the leak can only be from 2 parts. #1 Air Struts #2 The seals that seal the solenoid to the air strut. With the age of the vehicle in mind and the fact that the rear air struts are extremely hard to find, I recommend doing a Lincoln Continental Air Suspension Conversion 88 94
Spray the bags and lines down with soapy water and look for a air leak also at the valve block under the hood i think napa has a kit to change them to a spring system cheaper then new bags

First, check to make sure the air pump switch is "on" and nott turned off due to a tire change or other suspension work. Look in your owner manual for the location in the trunk.
Did you just have repair work done?
Also, check fuses & relays. Info in owner manual.
Let us know what you find so we can help.
Basically, this system has rubber air bladders that have lines running from an electric pump that inflates or deflates the air bags (springs). There is a small computer box that reads a height sensor in the rear, It will add air if too low, and let air out if too high.
Is yours fully deflated?

have your shocks checked. air suspension provides ride height and shocks control bounce from road bumps

Save your self the hassle and expence of troubleshooting and replacement parts, install a suspension retrofit kit which changes the rear bags to coil springs and the front to struts. A car this old you might as well start over for less than $500.00......
