I am not an expert but I had the same blower motor problem on my escort and I rapped it several times with a hammer and that got it going. It quit a few more times after that and I just kept the hammer nearby. After about a month of that it must have got the hint lol and it hasn't acted up since which was last year....

The fuse box is under the dash on the drivers side,,,you may have to pull each fuse til you find the one for the blower

likely your blower motor. but take connector off at blower, key on, htr on high. should have power at connector. check with a test light. If power is present, its your blower. If no power, and fuse is good, it's a wiring issue or your heater blower switch on the dash.

Heater stopped working suddenly, fuses are okay.

if your fan (blower motor) stopped working, more likely is the blower motor resistor, is locate it close to the blower motor. if the blower motor is ok, maybe your heater core is cloged.

Blower on the heater/AC not working on 1998 Escort, checked fuse under dash?

Ok, first off, check the fuses under the dash. If they're all good, does the blower work only on high speed? If yes, then you have a bad blower motor resistor, which is located under the hood, near the blower motor itself. If the motor doesnt work at all at any fan speed, make sure the wiring harness that plugs into the motor under the hood is clean and tightly installed. If it still doesnt operate, sometimes tapping on the blower motor housing will kick it on, but if that doesnt work, you may have to replace the blower motor. They are available aftermarket, and arent usually too expensive.

Dont know whay the blower motor doesnt work, but that age with these cars (I have two 94 Marks) both have had the turn signal switch replaced for problems with hazards not working, wipers not shutting off, etc.
To check your climate control system: Press OFF and FLOOR at the same time, release, then hit AUTO. That will make it self-test. You will get 888 (ok) or an error code (024, 025, or such)

Its a 1993 Ford Escort, Heater Blower Stopped working, i've checked all the fuses and the look good, any ideas to what this might be?

check power at the plug of the blower motor and if you have power but no blower then replace the blower. if you have no power and no blower, check for an open circuit at the switch or if your vehicle has a relay check there.

ps dont forget to rate my answer if you could. Thanks

Heater Blower

have you turned on the switch and checked for power at the blower plug? if so and you have power there then it is a blower motor if not then check fuse under dash and fusable link under hood around blower motor someplace close.

94 ford escort blower motor

While it could be the fan motor itself (they are a brush-type which may have worn brushes), but it is more likely that it is an intermittant open caused by a jack and plug no longer contacting right, a crusty fuse blade or jack or corroded contacts at the resistor that controls the blower speed.
Locating these is best done with a service manual in hand such as those published by Chilton or Haynes.
