Checked all possible places near the thermostat, all around it,under the alternator all paces that were suggested on forums even stopped at Ford dealer got diagram for the sensor placing and non of the places or sensors are the same kind like the one i bought .The one under alternator is with one wire,i find one like it on the water pump but not the same plug in.Don't know if sensor is not right or else.On internet when u put all info for the car it gives me the same sensor i got and that's the one Auto Zone gave me.Please give suggestions ONLY if u are sure about it.Car is 2.0 dual cam 16 valve Ztech.---2001

I found it and it was pain in the B... Need to take the alternator 2 screws out long one's top. push it back and it is right next to the frame that holds alternator. It is almost hidden but if u use flash light and put your hand u find the cable that goes to it.It is like needle sensor.also u need crow foot wrench 15 metric to unscrew it .Good Luck.

The sensor will most probably be mounted some where on the intake manifold near the thermastat. Many cars have two sensors, one for the computer and one for the guage. the one for the guage more than likely will have one or two wires, it should simply unscrew like a sparkplug. If you change it expect to lose some coolant.

I am positive I can help you get the right sensor, call any Ford store Parts departmnet and order it my your vin. We actually go to the local wrecking yard and get them for free for our own personal cars..lol. Most yards either give them away or charge five bucks for them, If you want exact directions and part numbers buy a subscription to alldatadiy.com for your car, well worth it, Merry Christmas and I sincerely hope this helps you!

Location of temperature sensor that operates the temperature gauge

Follow the upper rad hose to the thermostat housing. It will be there. There are two, one is the ECT (engine coolant temperature SENSOR) and the other is the temperature SENDING UNIT (input for temp. gauge ONLY). f83e91b9-4b48-476a-8c50-10735b376bf1.png

I want to know where is the knock sensor is located on my 2000 ford focus se

It's under the intake manifold. Please let me know if you have more questions.
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Remove the intake manifold.
  3. Remove the knock sensor (KS).
  4. Remove the retaining bolt.
  5. Remove the knock sensor.
  6. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Tighten the sensor to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).

Where is the location of the su2142 speed sencor on a ford focus 2001

Dear Madam or Sir,

Is this the vehicle speed sensor? This one is mounted on top of the gearbox.

If the SU2142 is the engine Speed sensor, it is mounted on the cylinder head near the camshaft sprockets.

Cant find 2002 ford focus speed sensor

I had a 2001 and the transmission was not shifting correctly that was diagnosed as a speed sensor issue.

There is a speed sensor on the transmission, near the rear.

And there is a speed sensor on one of the front wheel hubs...

Tell me what the problem is?

2001 ford focus o2 sensor

there are two sensors on your car, one is before your catylitic converter and just after the exhaust runners come together, it may be hidden due to your heat shield, the second one will be after the catylitic converter and will easiest to see from under the car, if you look onto the site for autozone you can see a picture of one and if they have the guide they sometimes have pictures too
