The ignition switch should be on the underside of the steering column -- it's connected to the switch key cylinder by a rod. The switch may have burned contacts or loose connectors or it may just need adjusting (i.e., the rod may not be properly engaging the switch).

Have a 1998 Dodge Durango. Heater Blower only works on high and is now only workingpart of the time. Works for a while and then goes out. starting to become more frequent. do I need a whole new motor unit...

Check the motor brushes for contact - if worn motor will not run. Meanwhile you might want to check schematic. On some cars the lower speeds of motor go through the ignition switch. The high speed is direct so if unit does not work on lower speeds it is the ignition switch at fault.

Key broke in ignition, would to replace ignition with new cost to expencive from dealers would like to do this myself ........need some help or a instaltion manual 2005 chevy clbolt

The first time I did this I went to the local auto parts store and bought the shop manual for the car, which shows how to remove and replace ignition switch. (manual was around $25) Then I went to auto wrecker parts yard where they left ignition keys in the car, and got practice by removing the ignition from the donor car. Next head back home to replace your old ignition switch. This is cheapest way to do it yourself.

Engine stalls at any rate of speed on my honda accord

Could be the Ignition Switch. 1999 Honda Accords are known for having defective ignition switches installed, which Honda issued recall. Check with a Honda dealer to see if your model is part of the recall group & qualifies for replacement. I’m currently on my third ignition switch, this last one I replaced myself.

The switch needs to be replaced and it requires some special tools if it's in the steering column. If it's on the floor any shade tree mechanic can do it.

check the ignition switch wiring, located under the dash panel connected to the electrical portion of the ignition switch not the key switch. my best guess is wires burnt.
