Personal experience leads me to tell you to look for broken wires between the door and the body of the car. Very common to have this happen. Don't waste your time looking for a fuse, there is none, that system has a circuit breaker, which never fails.

How do I get the stuck right rear window on my 2001 Volvo V70 up?

It could be one of three issues, so start with the first and free step. Ensure the child lockout switch below the rear window switches on the main window switch cluster is ON. If its off then it shuts off power entirely to both rear windows as a child safety feature. Second, slowly and repeatedly close all vehicle doors, then lock and unlock the doors remotely 5 times with a pause of about 20-30 seconds between each lock and unlock attempt. Usually after the 5/5 time the windows should start working properly again. Third, the main window switch cluster may need to be replaced. Checkout eBay item numbers 161698032254 or 151307494170. You can change the switch yourself with simple tools if need be. Short of these options, you'll need to visit a mechanic and have it properly checked and fixed.

Power windows in 2005 bmw 320i work intermittently

You most likely have to check the main power harness where the door opens. Sounds like a open wire that is not fully separated

Power windows and sunroof are not working as well as power locks will not stay locked. this happened after jumping the battery. any ideas of what the problems is? Already talked to a vw dealer and they...

The first thing you need to check is your fuses- it is not unusual to blow a fuse when jump-starting. Since all the power accessories (windows, roof, locks) went out together this is the best place to start. It has been a while since I worked on my Daughter's Passat, so I cannot remember if it is in the under-hood fuse panel, or the fuse panel inside the car.
If your fuses are OK, you can call VW-Parts, Inc. at (845) 254-6600. This is an after-market parts supply house in Fleischmanns, NY that deals only with VW's. Most times, they are happy to help with problems like this, and if it requires a part, they will have what you need for a good price.
Good Luck, and Thank You for using FixYa.

remove and, clean your battery cable clamps then retighten and, test.

2005 Colorado drivers side window and remote locking system

Just figured it out and replicated it 3 times..

any type of power/voltage change seems to trigger this issue

The most common symptom is power locks fail and only the driver window quits, however that is on the extended cab.

Steps to fix and it works every time.

take door panel off driver's door
Disconnect the wiring attached to window and power lock control unit
disconnect battery cables
connect the negative to the positive cable(((NO BATTERY CONNECTED)))
This will act to short residual voltage in the system

5 minutes later
place the key in the ignition and turn to the run position
connect the wiring to the window/lock controller
connect the negative cable to the battery
then the positive
open drivers side door
turn key to the off position((do not remove yet)) you should get a series of dings through speakers telling you the key is still in the ignition
once it begins dinging pull the key out and you should hear the door lock solenoids trigger and the windows should work.

Three years and a very unhappy girlfriend who owns the truck. but she's happy now.

Power locks and mirrors out. Driver power window out.

Your chevy uses two fuses for the system. The power lock actuators are on the 15 amp fuse inside the truck. The fuse for the switches (locks and mirrors) are under the hood. For 99 to 04 (I think those are the years) there is a TSB on replacing the 3 amp fuse under the hood with a 5 amp fuse because this is a well known problem of having these blow.

Your drivers side window is a different issue. If the rest are working your problem is in the motor or getting power to the motor. The wires that go from the body to the door often crack and break with the opening and closing of the door.
