The start will be located next to the transmission on the bottom side of the engine under the car.

you can cross the treminal on the starter with a screw driver as someone in the vehicle turns the key but watch out you might get zapped otherwise you might have to get it towed. sorry

sometimes it can be easy and others not. but if you find the side of the transmision that is next to the motor it will either be in the front or back of it.

This engine does not have nor use a engine coolant temp sensor. It uses a cylinder head temp sensor. It is mounted under the intake which has to be removed to gain access to the sensor. It is on the drivers side head next to the intake ports

2001 lincoln ls v6 3.0 starter clicking not starting or turning the engine , took starter in to have tested and passed , would bad starter relay make this happen?

try to rotate the engine by hand using appropriate socket and power handle at the engine drive pulley.if you can turn the engine freely then there is no engine problem.try to check the battery condition and lead wire going to the starter. If everything is ok then have your starter repaired
