DOES SYSTEM INTAKE CODE YOU TYPE AND RETURN WITH ERROR MESSAGE OR JUST PLAIN HAS LOCKED SCREEN? SYSTEM IS DESIGNED SO THAT IF INCORRECT CODE IS INPUT MORE THAN THREE TIMES SYTEM LOCKS ITSELF.WHICH REQUIRES THAN THE NAVI UNIT BE UNPLUGGED FROM BATTERY POWER FOR ABOUT 5-10 MINS TO RESET ITSELF.NOW INCORRECT CODE CAN BE DUE TO WRONG CODE/SERIAL # CARD FOR VEHICLE, UNIT HAS BEEN REPLACED IN PAST POSSIBLY AND YOU ARE INPUTING CODE FROM OLD UNIT UNKNOWINGLY. YOU ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE CODE YOU ARE TRYING TO INPUT IS FOR NAVI-SYSTEM AND NOT THE RADIO CODE FOR THE STEREO. IF ALL ABOVE CHECKS OK THEN NEXT STEP WOULD BE TO REMOVE UNIT TO RETRIEVE SERIAL NUMBER FROM BACK OF NAVI UNIT THEN GO TO NEAREST DEALARSHIP WHO CAN THAN RUN S/N THROUGH HONDA IN SYSTEM AND RETRIEVE CORRECT CODE FOR THAN SERIAL NUMBER. LET ME KNOW HOW IT GO'S

Your vehicle's audio system may disable itself if it is disconnected from electrical power for

any reason.
To make it work again, you must enter a specific five-digit code with the preset buttons.
Because there are hundreds of number combinations possible from the five
digits, making the system work without knowing the exact code is nearly impossible.

You should have received a radio code card that lists your audio system's code and serial

numbers. {glove box find}
It is best to store this card in a safe place at home. In addition, you should write the audio

system's serial number in this owner's manual.

If you lose the card, you must obtain the code number from your dealer.
To do this, you will need the audio system's serial number.

If your vehicle's battery is disconnected or goes dead, or the radio
fuse is removed, the audio system will disable itself. If this happens,
you will see ''ENTER CODE'' in the frequency display (on the screen on models with navigation

system) the next time you turn on the system.
Use the preset buttons to enter the five-digit code. The code is on the radio code card included

in your owner's manual kit.
When it is entered correctly, the radio will start playing.

If you make a mistake entering the code, do not start over; complete the
five-digit sequence, then enter the correct code. You have 10 tries to enter the correct code.
If you are unsuccessful in 10 attempts, you
must then leave the system on for 1 hour before trying again.

The system will retain your AM and FM presets even if power is disconnected. {only on newer cars'

Need car stereo code for honda accord 1995

stereo codes for Honda

Method 1 (all applicable models except '03-07 Accords with the navigation system)
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Turn on the audio unit, and make sure you see stereo COdE in the display. If you don't see this message, pull the backup fuse for 1 minute, and then go back to step 1.
3. Turn off the audio unit.
4. Press and hold the 1 and 6 preset buttons, then turn on the audio unit. The display toggles between two screens. The first screen displays a U and the first four digits of the serial number (for example, U2200). The second screen displays an L and the last four digits of the serial number (for example, L0055). Ignore the U and L, and write down all eight digits.

Method 2 ('03-07 Accords with the navigation system)
1. Turn the ignition switch to ACC (I).
2. Turn on the audio unit, and make sure you see COdE in the upper display. If you don't see this message, pull the backup fuse for 1 minute, and then go back to step 1.
3. Turn off the audio unit.
4. Press and hold the top halves of the SEEK/SKIP and CH/DISC bars, and then press and release the PWR/VOL knob. This display toggles between two screens. The first screen displays a U and the first four digits of the serial number (for example, U2200). The second screen displays an L and the last four digits of the serial number (for example, L0055). Ignore the U and L, and write down all eight digits.
5. Call Honda Dealer for Radio Code.
6. Use the TUNE knob to enter the first four digits of the anti-theft code into the audio unit. (Ignore the last digit; it's not used.) When you turn the TUNE knob, COdE disappears, and a single digit is displayed. Turn the knob left or right to select each of the anti-theft code digits. When you press the TUNE knob, the system beeps and accepts each digit as it spells out CODE on the display.

My radio needs a code

"i have a 2004 honda accord my radio needs a code"

I had the same problem on my Honda Accord.
After several attempts to fix and many error messages I called a Honda house and the lady in service said "No problem". She then asked for the two codes listed by using the procedure described above (the "U" and "L" codes which both contain 4 digit numbers following the U or the L.
I gave her this and she "looked it up".
In a couple of minutes she returned with a 5 digit code which I immediately tried.
Of course it didn't work because it only has room for 4 numbers.
I went thru the battery disconnect reset (for 5 minutes) and while that was going on, I remembered that the code for the navigation system was located by another service tech once before.
All he did was pop the top off the fuse panel under the hood.
On the cover, along with the fuse identification was a white sticker with some numbers on it.
One of the typewritten numbers had a "N" written with a pen on it.
Another number was 4-digit and had a "R" in blue ink, like the N written on it.
I thought "If N stands for navigation, would R stand for radio?"
The rest is history.
When I plugged that number into the radio in the code entry mode - everything started working.
If I hadn't seen that tech open and retrieve the navigation code, I never would have related "N" and "R". The under hood fuse box is located on the driver's side up near the windshield.

You only get like 10 tries this means you made to many attempts trying to put the wrong code in. Disconnect the battery cable and then try putting the code in the radio again.

I just misplaced the Navigation System Code for my Honda Accord 2004 with Vehicle Identification Number IHGCM66844A090143. I will appreciate if you can assist me to get the navigation system code back so...

you may be able to contact the original selling dealer they should have it on file, also if you still have your maitenence journal it might be in there. the worst case would be taking it to the dealer and having them remove the unit and getting the serial number off of it so they can get the code for you

Navigation system

Unplugging or rebooting won't solve the problem. Call Alpine Electronics. They are the manufacturer of the Navi System. They will replace it for about $160. Check their website online for their phone number.
