Question about 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Battery charge spiked up on 1994 jeep grand cherokee ltd.

...hi...i was on the road driving my '94 jgc ltd. when i noticed that the battery charged went from 14 volts all the way up to 17 volts and right up to the orange line of the high side of the battery charge gauge on my dash. I pulled over, and then the charge went back down to 14 volts. I continued on the road, and it went up again. Drove it today and it seemed to be fine. Anyone know what may have caused this? or have had the same issues? Thanks...

Check the battery cable connections, are they clean and tight? This can cause the charging system to spike and go into the 16-17 volt range, the other thing is a problem with either the alternator or the voltage regulator, a diode that is failing can cause this issue.

THE RADIATOR DRAIN TAP "PETCOCK" FOR THE 94 JEEP CHEROKEE IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR - THOUGH TO BE BRUTALLY HONEST YOU WOULD BE BETTER JUST REMOVING THE BOTTOM HOSE TO DRAIN THE RADIATOR AS THE TAP/PETCOCK HAS A TENDENCY TO SNAP IN THESE OLDER MODEL JEEPS - IT DID WITH MY 96 JGC & IT COST ME A NEW RADIATOR TO THEN "FIX" THE PROBLEM.

Hey I have a 94 Grand jeep Cherokee Larodo I was wondering what the code list was or where to find it. I think it may have to do with the alternator as my battery charge is low, and it recently blew the...

You can find a code list in either chilton or haynes manuals. You can get them at most larger parts stores. While there, have your charging system and battery tested (most do that free). If necessary you can also have your codes scanned (also most times free).
If you do that it's likely you will have a good idea what needs to be fixed!

94 Jeep Grand Cherokee will not start

Sounds like the inline fuse popped. It is located in the wire that comes from the alternator to the battery. The alternator is sending out the juice, but it can't make it to the battery. I sincerely hope that this gets you on the road again. Best wishes and God Bless.

The only thing that can make the noise is the transmission front pump, if the trans works ok try changing the fluid and filter, it may help or reduce the noise.
