My 2005 chevy avalanche only blows cold air until i drive then when I stop cold air Agian

One of two things has happened. Either your coolant has gotten really low (easy enough to check) or you heater core is starting to plug up.

I have some serious mice nest issues in my 2004 cavalier! So far I have pulled out the screen in the defroster panel and removed an entire mouse hotel...however i believe there is more in my heater...

First check the hot/cold knob. Is there constant tension when you turn from hot to cold? If there is no tension in the knob then the actuator cable (that connects to the temperature blend gate) may have been chewed loose or disconnected.

If there is tension and you get cold AC and no heat then you may have a problem with the heater core.

Serpentine belt problem?? heater blowing cold air.

If the serpentine belt broke, the water pump would have also stopped turning, causing coolant to stop flowing...therefore the heater would run cold. Since the belt also turns the alternator, the charging system would also stop working (alt light).
Since nothing is flowing through the engine or radiator, the engine will quickly overheat. Since your engine oil also does a bit of cooling as well as lubrication, oil passing through the overheated block will break down and overheat as well. Hopefully the light came on for that before any internal bearing damage was done. Smoke was due to the overheat.
Your serpentine belt likely is not covered under a warranty, especially after four years.
Hopefully the problem is isolated to just the belt but I do recommend that if you have an automatic transmission you change the fluid in that even if you are not at the change interval recommended. Trans oil is cooled by the cooling system and a severe overheat can chemically change it. Doing a change now will avoid any overheat related trans failure. Since you can't remove all the trans fluid (at best during a change you only remove half) so I recommend using a bottle of lucas trans additive to bolster the remaining fluid.
Good luck!!

2004 toyota celica will not blow hot air for twenty minutes

If the engine temprature does not reach the normal level as it used to, it may be the coolant thermostat.

Iif it does, it could be air diverter gates not working properly, cold air blowing at a a light could point to that. The diverter gates are located under the dash.

It also coul be the valuve that controls the water to the heater core, but unlikely cause of the cold air at a light.

2004 ford exploer new battery still not kicking over

Make sure you have good clean connections from battery to starter and ground. If all okay, you may want to have a starter draw test performed.

Hi there, my daughter has a 2004 cavalier, she drought it to me, she said the battery light was on in the dash, when i looked under hood there was oil all over the engeina on the passenger side, and she...

Well first of all you need to check and see if the drive belt is still on the car especially on the alternator. This can be a more that one problem. For starters there can be a major oil leak and the oil damaged the alternator or the oil cause the alternator belt to slip off the pulley. Check this and let me know asap.
