I had the same problem with mine, and I fixed it when I changed the TRS (Neutral Safety Switch). It is really easy to change it in less than 10 minutes.

2005 gmc savanna 1500 starting problem changed starter and battery but when I hook up the battery charger and turn it to start boost it starts turn it off unhook charger it wont start

You have the solenoid exciter wire touch the bat terminal on the starter. You need to loosen the cable stud and turn and make sure it is not hitting the smaller terminal. the small wire should be going to the S post or terminal

1995 ford explorer wont start

You could be right. It could also be a bad connection between the battery and starter. It takes 11 volts to crank a Ford starter.
You might want to clean the cables and check the voltage at the starter post.
Could also be a problem with the engine.

My 1995 ford windsar is not starting...\r\nwhen i turn the key it does not make a sound. battery is new and so is the starter i also replaced the Ignition Switch on it but no luck any ideas

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You need to test the wires from the battery to the starter. Make sure it is getting power. Check your ignition fuse. It may have blown. If you have power inside the car, it is not a battery issue. Check the connection and clean the terminals and post. If this all checks out, it may be your starter solenoid. It may not be catching the flywheel.

How do i disconnect the battery from my 1995 windstar van?

Find the negative black (-) terminal and unscrew the nut and bolt that holds the terminal on the post.

This will remove power to the radio and computer and accessories.

Can a bad battery stop a windstar from turning over even if lights still come on?

It could if battery only has enough power for just the lights, what I would try first is turn the light on and try to start the van, if the lights go to dim or off, then the battery is no good, if they stay bright then more then likely it's going to be your starter, another way to test the starter is hit the starter with a hammer or some thing you can reach it while some one holds the key to start, if it starts or not replace it anyway bad starter.

I have a 1995 geo tracker installed a starter , it started fine but negative post on battery got hot now wont start at all just clicks

new battery....or alternator.....try boosting it if it starts leave it running and remove cables... if it quits when u remove jumper cables then u need alternator or check its fuseable link ........if it stays running it was your battery and your starter was probably ok i...u didnt need to change it or both starter and battery were bad ....starters kill batteries when they are failing and start to draw too much amperage from battery ...another quick way to tell a battery is dead,,,,,,is to look and see if its swollen or bulging...tis the season for batteries and alternaters ;-) good luck

Plenty of power in cab wont turn starter

even though there are accessories on, there may not be enough to turn starter over. Or the connection is bad or not metal to metal contact. Last possible cause would be faulty solenoid.

2002 ford windstar check charging system light stays on when i replaced the altenator and battery

Check all fuses, both inside and outside. Use a volt meter to check the output of the alt., by setting the meter to D/C/ volts, put the black wire on battery GROUND and the red wire on the big terminal of the alt.,,, which the wire is held on with a nut and washer, or a lock nut.If your reading is around 12.0 - 12.6,,, try another alt....
If the reading is 13.8 - 14.6 ,, you have a problem between the alt and the battery.
Hope this helps.
