The 12 Volt auxiliary battery that powers the computer gets discharged if the car isn't started for a long time due to the security system and memory for radio settings, etc, power drain. You can get it going again by hooking jumper cables or a battery charger to the auxiliary battery that is stored on the driver's side of the trunk.

2010 G37 - battery was dead - jumped it off and drove it for twenty minutes. Next morning it wouldn't start and now it wont stop clicking (like a relay). Any suggestions?

if the battery goes dead or low it must be recharged with a charger, driving the car will not recharge it properly. The alternator is only meant to maintain the battery, not recharge it. Get the battery recharged and verified and then try again.

My 1999 Chrysler LHS battery drained why is this happening

Tons of possibilities here. Corrosion on terminals builds up over time, causing higher resistance for the electricity going back into the battery from the alternator, causing it to charge more slowly. Moisture (or moisture in dirt) on top of the battery can cause a slow discharge between the poles (worse in humid areas). Short circuits (from bare wires, corroded connectors, etc.). Devices such as phone chargers plugged into power outlets that stay on when the key is off (some do, some do not). Interior lights left on. Remember, also, that alternator recharging will typically not take a maintenance free battery to 100% charge once it has been severely discharged. That means that, even though the car may seem to start fine, it may reach the point of turning the engine slowly (or not at all) much more quickly. It will only reach 100% again if trickle charged (with a battery charger). Probably 4 out of 5 of my battery issues have been solved with a good terminal cleaning and an overnight trickle charge, and my batteries rarely last less than 5 years. My truck battery is still going strong at 9 years. Regardless, though, batteries eventually stop charging, even expensive ones. Hope it turns out to be something simple.

I have a zx600r i put jumper cables on it it runs pull 1 dead period i have a red fused wire on positive battery terminal an white what does it connect to seems to b the issue

Your battery is not charged and will need recharging. That is not your problem though. The alternator is not running the engine once it is started. The battery starts the engine, the alternator keeps it running and recharges the battery.

Make sure all your connections are clean and sound to the battery and alternator. Start your engine, with a recharged battery, although it may be too late for your old battery. remove the positive terminal. If the engine stops your alternator is faulty.

Replaced the k134 car cuts off after engine gets hot. guessing 40 minutes of driving

The battery in most cars is used only for starting and operating electrics when the engine is not running.

After that, the alternator provides power to operate ignition and electric systems - and of course; recharge the battery. A faulty battery shouldn't cause the car to stop running. If the alternator is not functioning properly, the car will get power from the battery instead. When this happens, the voltage will drop quickly - depending on how many electrical accessories are on, etc. You will notice headlights becoming dim at night just before the engine quits. The car would not be able to start / run until the battery is recharged.

BATTERY PROBLEM

Ultimate solution is change the battery... because the capacity of battery cells is poor.. this could be the reason if battery is old...
Still u can take a chance by completely removing the battery fluid and replacing it new battery fluid... but keep in mind that, after doing so, u'll need to charge the battery fully before using it in car...
This kind of battery problem is common in all diesel cars, the reason I think is, Diesel engine need heavy torque to start that draws heavy current from battery.. so if you are facing starting trouble for the vehicle, then battery is surely going to discharge frequently...
Still try the solution mentioned above and still the problem persists, then replace the battery with new one.
((I am considering that the battery you are having is 3-4 years old...))

CAR DOES NOT ALWAYS START

You will probably have a fully charged battery when it is left to sit for awhile and allowed to slowly recharge.....most batteries are designed to recharge a little after they have been drained down after about 30 to 40 minutes (if its a good battery)!...if your battery is more than three years old, i"d change that first...but if your car has over 100K miles and the alternator has never been changed... i would say that that's the likely culprit! especially if the engine has been spray cleaned a lot. but check for a loose (Serpentine) belt first... if it's real loose, you"ll never charge the battery properly....you could also just as quickly check the battery post for loose or corroded connections... and you only "test" a battery for load amps.. not voltage...buy your next battery with as much cold cranking amps as you can afford.. 600-900amps!..it will say on the info label. If your ever in the snow, you"ll wish you had those extra amps!

My z3 starting problem

i would say its a dead (flat) battery. if its more than 4 or 5 years old, it might be time to replace it.

try jumping it with another vehicle. if it jump starts, then replace the battery.

if its a newer battery (less than 4 years old), then something is draining the battery or the alternator is not recharging it.

5 miles is not enough to recharge battery. Have battery completely recharged or take it to major auto parts store where they can test battery,
What caused battery to go "flat"? Did you leave dome light on?
