Landrover td4 2lite diesal kalahrari 53plate Loosing power and loud clanging noise under the bonnet when eccelerating and seems to be there all the time now Changed fuel filter and oil filterand oil

loud noise under acceleration indicates a failed big end bearing or main bearing
have a oil pressure check done
remove the injector for that piston and if it stops the noise then consider a replacement engine.

I have a 1995 Mercedes Benz SL 500 that runs rough when started after sitting for several days.

hi Jhlightcap.

The Common Problem: Rough Running Engine

A properly-operating engine should run smoothly and without excess noise. If your engine starts operating in a manner that gives you the perception of "running rough", it is likely due to a handful of common causes. A mechanic would investigate these common causes first in order to rule out a simple explanation for the engine's unsatisfactory operation.
The common causes for rough running in an engine are:
  • Engine miss
  • Vacuum leak
  • Dirty fuel injectors
  • Carburetor problems
  • EGR valve
  • Ignition coil
  • Spark plug wires

Groaning noise when turning steering wheel , even when stationary, i checked level of power steering fluid and it was fine. C180 W203

chances are the power steering pump has seen better days and may need replacement. i dont recomend any additives in these systems. if its making noise, there isnt really alot you can do. dont replace the gear box unless there are leaks.

My power antenna is stuck in the upright position. It prevents me from going through the car wash and is overall a bad look for the vehicle. I would like to know how to either put it down manually and...

i forgot to mention... no I dont believe i hear anything. the one noise that i hear occasionally is a very short "bshhhh" roughly < or = 1second. I bought the car from someone who took wonderful care of it however i dont believe the antenna was used a lot. It was slightly corroded or whatever which certainly could have caused it to draw too much power to the motor resulting in the motor burning out.

I would almost rather find out how to just take the whole thing out and deal without an antenna unless i find something reasonable on ebay.
