Question about 2003 Ford Focus

1 Answer

Blowing Fuses A month ago i had the battery changed in my 01 zx3 focus. Everthing was hooked up correctly, but now my car is blowing the 30 amp fuse under in the engine that controls the car starting. If i replace it it will be ok for about a week or 2 then it blows again. I believe it has to be somewhere between the battery and the starter, because that is all that controls. I know its not the alternator because the battery still is holding a charge. What would be causing this?

T rg fiesta front wipers fuse keeps blowing

Are you replacing it with the correct amp fuse? Buy a couple of the RIGHT fuses and try this.Your wiper motor may be bad, or the wiper mechanism is binding, causing the motor to over amp and blow the fuse. Try lubricating, if you get to it, the arm mechanism, and make sure it is not hitting anything while it is in motoion. Not familiar with this cars set up. Remove wiper blades, or stand them up and see if it still blows tyhe fuse

Keep blowing fuses for the wipers, have replaced

Your wiper motor is about to go out, if it hasen already, wiper motor pulling to many amps will cause the fuse to blow.

Fuses keep blowing

I do not have the diagram and will be kind of hard to find, but first i'd check the bulb's housing first and foremost, as in most cases where the fuse shorts all the time, it's just because the housing/casing/lens is not sealed anymore and water comes into it and shorts the socket of the bulb, causing the fuse to burn. If everything is OK and there is no water coming into the housing, let me know and i'll do what i can to find some diagrams for you.

I have a 2001 Focus Zx3. The dashlights, parking

Sounds like a short circuit here ? You will need to locate the short circuit . Most probable is the tail lamps and their connections , then number plate lights , then any hinged wiring going from body to a door or trunk (ie No plate illum lights) area . Sometimes the dash dimmer can be a problem . Good luck
