Question about 1997 Saab 900
My 1997 Saab 900 has 164,000 miles on it. I have taken it into a couple of different shops for a front end shake that happens anywhere between 50-70 mph. No one seems to know whats wrong with it. I've had the tires rotated and balanced and a front end alignment. It still shakes! I haven't been in any sort of accident so I don't think it could be an akle. Is this something that happens with Saabs over time? Or do you have any other suggestions?
The most common problem I see with this complaint is a bent rim or rims. So regardless if you balance the tires and rotate them, you will still have a vibration. I assume you have more than one bent rim because it still shakes even after rotation. You will have far more vibration if a bent rim is on the front. That is why people usually rotate a bent rim to the back.
