Question about 1988 Daihatsu Charade
What is best. turbo or supercharger? pressure before carby or after? intercooled or not. engine is cb23 993cc pre polition.
The turbocharger is the way to go. The standard turbo version of the CB23 is the CB60 or CB61.
It might be easier to source a turbo engine rather than go through the process of modification.
The Cb60/61 has a small IHI RHB32 hairdryer stock, but enthuisisats throw them for an RHF5 series. The engine is blow through carby, the carby being fitted with positive pressure diaphragms as is the distributor.
