Question about 1998 Ford Escort
My escort van t/d.is holding back on acceleration .still drives fine .doesnt miss a beat just not got the power ,starts fine, revs fine, just feels to be holding back when a put the foot down.new fuel filter been added.just been serviced also.it is a 1996 mondeo engine in it.
Check the accelarator cable isnt stretched (rev the car from the peddle, then from under the hood and listen for any rev differences) although its just been serviced also check that its had a replacement air filter. this could be restricting air.
