Here is what happen when you pull the battery cable off you just erase the memory in your computer which may tend to put code and because when you put it back maybe some of your components got short so the easiest way to know what is causing it go get a scanner to diagnose what the code is then if you do not know how to read the code just go buy your owners manual everything is out there and it can show you the steps too how to fix it..

2003 Hyundai Elantra alternator will not charge battery. Both bench tested and are in good working order. Alternator will not keep car going, if started. checked fuses, and all are good. Put full charge...

If you have replaced the alternator and the battery has been checked and showed to be in good working condition then the only thing left is either a bad fusable link or cable (negative or psitive) going from battery to engine. You should inspect these cables and there connections. Corrosion on these connections can cause these problems. You also mention that the alternator will not keep car running. It should when you disconnect the negative battery cable while the engine is running. If all connections and cables are good and you haven't replaced alternator then you should do so.

2007 Hyundai Elantra has to be jump started. Battery is fine

from your comment, theres 3 things that can cause this, loose batt.post connection, weak batt.or something in elect. circuit that stays on after car is off and drains batt.,like underhood light, dome or truck light, what u can do is when u park car unhook batt. cable, make sure batt. is well charged, hook it up next day if car starts, its something that drains batt.in car! if it doesnt start, batt. needs replacing.i ruled out starter, dealer should have checked it to see if it was pulling too much amps, and that its easy to jump.
