first thing... when was the last time you checked the oil.... and that sounds like it could be engine knock from using a lower octane gas then it should be using.

It could be as bunnydawg suggested but thiers quite a few other things that could cause that sound. You need to be a little more specific as any of the rotating parts, drive shaft etc, could be the cause of the noise. If not the engine making that noise which is odd as it only gets noisy at specific times,60 and up Check drive shaft uni joints, tyres and harmonic balancer also make sure none of the front pulleys arnt loose.Good luck

It has a 351 Windsor motor in it. I has a terrible knocking sound. We replaced the main bearing and timing chain. What could it be?

How were the rod bearings? I always check them whenever replacing the main bearings. Why did you only say "main bearing"? There are always more than one.

could also be part of the fuel pump dropping do into the oil pan is now hitting the crank, but you checked the oil pan for "bits and pieces" when you took it off to change the main bearing - right?

08 chrysler will only go 60 kmh will not shift

Don't play the guessing game and start replacing parts on the fly. Go to an Autozone, or Napa store and they will scan for codes for free. They may even tell you what the most common part is that they sell when that code is present on a vehicle, if the code doesn't pinpoint it dead on. If your still not sure after that, get back to us with code and we will guide you through it. Much easier and cheaper that way.

A knocking and grinding noise coming from underneath the car,

if you had the CV JOINTSreplaced , they both should have lasted for a long time, how much do you trust your mechanic ? always something to consider ! also, the mechanic who replaced the CV'S last time, did he do a good job ? was there a grinding noise then ? did you get a warranty on the previous cv's, I'm not tryin to point any fingers, just sayin, you need to be aware of every move you make, and who you make it with. NOW, go to good transmission shop, have them test drive ,with you in car, and inspect your front end and transmission, its free , good luck

Jaguar xj8 2004 (x350) when driving at slow speed (50 -80 Kmh) the gearbox undecided which gears to use. Rev counter goes slightly faster and slower. Problem goes away when driving faster. Also lumpy...

sounds like the torque converter is going out...I remember on some of the xj8 and xjr models in the x350 class had these issues...the signs were a surge in the rpm cluster at about 50mph and when you attempt to pass or kick down it will ****....but as you get higher in speed it eventually smooths out...This is my insight for your issues...If it was the transmission control module it would throw a definite code.....Usually this issue with the converter was with the earlier vin models ranging in g00 to g400 numbers....and a few others
