F250 HPOP NO Start

if you are talking about the injector pump it will need to be bled, loosen the fuel lines at the injectors and turn theengine over till you get fuel out of them all close them and start engine it may take a little to get it started, then loosen each injector one at a time to purge any air left in the system

1992, F250, Diesel, 7.3 International, 4x4, no A/C. Could you please tell me where the fuel pump or fuel pumps are located? This truc has 2 fuel tanks. I have been experiencing starting problems. It seems...

Check rubber return lines running from injectors to back of engine. Hoses maybe cracked and allowing air in the system causing hard long starting.

My son ran my truck out of gas. Its a 1988 F250

first, is this a diesel? if it is there is a line or oring loose allowing it to **** air--diesels dont like leaks like that and there is a whole procedure for voiding the air from the lines on diesels. next could be the in tank pump and also does it have duel tanks? does the duel tank switch work? running out of fuel with in tank pumps can burn up the pump (the fuel itself provides lubrication and cooling for the pump, gas or diesel) and of course check the filter, running out and refilling could have disturbed trash in the tank

1996 turbo deisel fuel and oil leak.

The fuel pump is located under the turbo on that truck. It is most likley washing sediment/old fluids out of the vally of toyr engine. It is also driven by a push rod that ths cam drives, so the lower pump o-ring may be leaking too. You can change the fuel pump without pulling the turbo. Good Luck

Glow plugs

to check the glow plugs you can use a scanner (snap-on) or you have to take the valve covers off, take a test light n hook it up to your positive post on battery, pull wire off glow plug, take test light to glow plug if it lights its good if it doesnt the plugs bad,as for the fuel leak it may be the lift pump in the valley or it can also be the vacum switch on the fuel filter housing

What tools do you need to replace a 1997 Ford F250 diesel fuel pump?

nothing special, its in the valley, probably have to remove the fuel bowl and the turbo pedastal to get access to it.
book value from navistar / ford is a 4 hour job.
better have a good ladder and a plywood sheet to lay on up in the engine bay.
